This place was recommended by a friend while we were around Manila. There were so many antiques to look at and beautiful historic interior. Tickets were fairly cheap at PHP75. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Also, before you enter the premises, you are reminded to only follow the red carpet path and no flash allowed when taking photos (not sure why) but overall, worth the visit!

Casa Manila is a museum located in intramuros that showcases the colonial house of the 1850s . The furnitures and fixtures are well maintain. You can get a feeling of how the affluent family lives during the era. Please remember not to touch the items and no video as a form of respect to the museum rules. There are guards all around to enforce that.

It was a good experience to go around Intramuros and visit Casa Manila. My friends and I had a meaningful time knowing more of our history esp. how Filipinos lived before. The Casa Manila or “Manila House” is a living museum that features the lifestyle of an affluent Filipino family during the late Spanish colonial period. The façade of Casa Manila was patterned after a house that once stood at Jaboneros Street in the Chinese district of Binondo in the 1850's We and really appreciate how it was shared by our tour guide, Dane. Whatever we saw in the museum was explained very well by Dane. Tour guides are also included in the entrance fee which is great! Overall, it was a nice experience.
