2 months agoAli Mall, located in Cubao, Quezon City, one of my favorite hangouts in the 80’s holds a special place in Philippine history as the country’s first major shopping mall, named after the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. While it may not be as large or modern as some of the newer malls in Metro Manila, Ali Mall offers a nostalgic charm and a convenient shopping experience for those in the Cubao area. It also offers Government Center’s where you can do transactions related to NBI, SSS, Pagibig, Philhealth, etc. **Shopping and Dining:** The mall has a decent selection of retail stores, ranging from popular local brands to specialty shops. It’s a good place to find affordable clothing, shoes, and accessories. While the selection isn't as extensive as larger malls, the variety is sufficient for quick shopping trips. The food court and various restaurants offer a mix of local and international cuisine, making it a convenient spot for a meal or a quick snack. **Entertainment:** Ali Mall is connected to the larger Araneta City complex, providing easy access to various entertainment options. Within the mall, there is a cinema that screens the latest movies, although it may not have the most luxurious amenities. **Ambiance and Accessibility:** The mall has an old-school vibe, which can be both charming and a bit dated. It’s generally clean and well-maintained, though it lacks the modern aesthetics of newer shopping centers. One of its key strengths is its location—situated in the heart of Cubao, it's easily accessible via public transportation, including the MRT and LRT lines. It also offers ample parking for those driving. **Overall Experience:** Ali Mall is ideal for those who appreciate a laid-back, no-frills shopping experience. It’s not the most glamorous mall and needs a much awaited renovations, but it has a rich history and serves the community well with its range of shops and dining options. If you're in the area and need a convenient place to shop, eat, or catch a movie, Ali Mall is worth a visit.

7 months agoThis is a small but with many shops and restaurants that is still functioning and well stand there. I saw there are some petite marketplace setup there around one of the entrance and some of them are selling toys, coins and paper notes as well. Didn’t have enough time for my first visit to walk every single corner, but hopefully, I will get in a chance in the future
