a month agoBreakfast Buffet is good. The coffee was also excellent because they have espresso. Room is clean & well-maintained. Location: The hotel's location in Makati is ideal, offering easy access to shopping malls, restaurants, and business districts. The Ayala MRT station is just a short walk away, providing convenient access to other parts of the city.

a month agoI have been staying at this property for the last 3 to 4 years during all my business trips. It's centrally located in Makati and conveniently accessible to the different locations I need to travel to. So far, all my stays have been satisfactory in terms of the room, cleanliness, staff, breakfast, and the overall experience. However, my current stay, which is ongoing, will be my last at this hotel. For the past three days, I’ve been complaining to housekeeping about the very low water pressure in the shower and wash basin, but no action has been taken. Yesterday, I received a call stating that they would be changing my room because all the water pipes in my room are clogged and cannot be fixed. However, after the call, no one followed up, and nothing has been done. The hotel is also overcrowded, and there’s no place to sit for breakfast. You have to wait for 20 to 30 minutes to use the elevator, both going up and coming down. They also shut down the breakfast counter due to overcrowding. When I reported this to Rod, a staff member at the reception, he told me he would let me speak to the Manager. However, it appears the Manager was on holiday yesterday, and no action has been taken. It’s a definite 'no' for staying at this property, especially if you're here on a business trip and time is important. Yesterday, I ended up wasting an hour waiting for the elevator, which made me late for a business conference—the main reason I was in Manila for the week.

a month agoI've been coming to Manila many times, years after years, both for business and pleasure. I was bouncing from one hotel to another, looking for the most comfortable, convenient, affordable and pleasantly services. And St. Giles is the one. ( Other hotels were always lack of something ) Shout out to Mr. Angel. He has always making me feel welcome and belonging. He is extremely helpful, professional, courteous and super polite. Last year I came to stay and I made a mistake on my reservation but he was willing to straighten it out, and accommodating to my needs. I'm coming again to St. Giles in a few days and I'm looking forward to my stay.

a month agoStaying 3 days here, compare to other hotels nearby this one is cheaper. check-in time was 3pm and check-out at 12pm. Very easy to get online taxi such as Indrive or Grab, but the traffic around is crazy during peak hours. Room was small but enough to put 2 suitcases, water station also available in front of our room 3211. Our return flight was at 11pm so we store our luggage at the security officer on check-out, going out and back to get it later. And also very easy to access fast food and restaurants around

in the last weekComfortable, Western-oriented hotel located near the center of Manila. Check-in is quick (with advance reservation). Elevators (about 5 of them) are a little slow based on how large the hotel is (I stayed on the 17th floor, which was not the top floor!). Rooms are comfortable and simple. Not a lot of space but everything you need is there. Blackout curtains, television (remote didn't work), in-room safe, hangers in an armoire. Tea & coffee service in the room. No bottled water but there's a clean water dispenser in the hall near the elevator bay. Bed was comfortable and linens were crisp and clean. Adequate desk space and outlets for charging and working and the wi-fi was good enough to support business uses (audio/video conferencing). Bathroom was small but dry and clean. Western-style toilet. Shower water did not heat beyond body-temperature which made showering very uncomfortable in the morning. Basic toiletries provided. Soap & shampoo provided. High enough up there is no noise from street level. Overall the hotel seemed quiet, though located so close to one of the major tourist destinations in Manila may mean noisier guests at times. On site restaurant and bar open until midnight and providing breakfast service if you opted for it. Room service also available. Check-out requires their housekeeping staff to verify you didn't leave anything behind or take anything you shouldn't, so calculate an additional 5-7 minutes to your checkout time. Staff is friendly. If this area of town is where you need to be, this is a fine place to stay.
