in the last weekMy wife Ana Liza and I had a truly wonderful stay at the St. Gilles Makati Hotel from Christmas Eve day until I had to leave on New Year’s Eve day. This hotel offered everything we were looking for: a beautiful atmosphere, fantastic rooms, and an exceptional staff. The service was top-notch, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. The hotel was also beautifully decorated for Christmas, which made our stay even more festive and enjoyable. Although I wouldn't call the men helping outside the front desk typical concierge, it was very, very helpful to have them there to guide us through the different challenges of finding transportation in the Philippines. Not only did they help us navigate Grab rides, but they also assisted with significant Grab deliveries, which turned out to be the easiest way for us to enjoy our stay without always visiting the restaurant. That being said, the restaurant itself was excellent with great drinks, and although we didn’t try the buffet, it looked fantastic. You’ll see some wonderful pictures of the food that my family enjoyed, especially my little seven-year-old, Hope. The rooms were comfortable and offered great value, which made our time there even more enjoyable. And compared to other hotels in the Makati area, it's obviously a great value. It was a perfect place for us to relax and enjoy the holidays together. We were also able to have our family come and visit briefly, and they really enjoyed the hotel and its location, which was very convenient for our trip to the Grand Venice Mall. From start to finish, our experience at St. Gilles was nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Makati—whether it’s for a short stay or an extended visit, you won’t be disappointed. A great big thank you to the team for making our stay unforgettable!

a week agoOverall I was happy with my stay at St Giles. My room was clean and quiet. Staff was nice. However it kinda felt like a "budget experience" with a shower that couldn't keep water pressure and temperature consistent while flooding the bathroom floor, a bathroom door that you have to put your entire body into to open, discolored toilet seat and hallways that radiate a backrooms vibes. Given that for only a slight budget increase (~30%) you can go with a 5-star hotel nearby that offers an actual premium experience, I find it hard to recommend at the price point. But I would definitely come again if they had some special offers or discounts going on.

a week agoLoved this hotel, stayed here two times, on floor 28 and 14. The higher the better (because of the great view from the top). Rooms are super clean. There is hot water in the shower. Dispensable water on every floor. Gym and swimming pool in the rooftop. Unfortunately the water was too cold so I couldn't get in. The location is top. Long waiting line when checking in at 2-3pm... Best: they kept my luggage for free for 3 days while I was doing the tour to Sagada. Thank you! :))

3 weeks agoThe location of this hotel is great, it's close to many key places in Makati, which is very convenient. The staff are also attentive and kind, making sure guests are well taken care of. However, the room itself left much to be desired. While it was cold and comfortable enough, the floors and curtains were noticeably old and a bit dirty, which affected the overall experience. The elevator situation was frustrating, they have four elevators, but they don’t always work efficiently. I experienced waiting for almost 15 minutes just to get on one, which was very inconvenient. The parking situation, though, was the worst part. The parking space is extremely small, and the walls are covered in scratch marks from vehicles. The parking is also one-way, meaning if someone is going up, you have to wait for them to get to the top before you can go down. With their parking located all the way from B1 to B5, you’ll have to loop through narrow, tight ramps several times, making it a nightmare if you’re driving a bigger car like an SUV. If I had known this beforehand, I would have definitely booked elsewhere. Overall, while the location and staff are positives, the dated facilities, parking, and elevator issues make this hotel hard to recommend.

a month agoExcellent stay here, staff were wonderful and very helpful. I requested a nice view and it was met, nice view on the 33rd floor, only downside to being that high was the lifts which took some time. Again the staff were very helpful and friendly, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it is a very safe and secure hotel.
