Kale Cafe + Restaurant

Food = 11/10 Unique, delicious, and presentable. Their menu is unique with different kinds of dishes from different cuisines. Food tastes fresh, scrumptious, and appetizing. Tbh, their food belongs in a museum because the presentation looks like the ones from high end restos in BGC and Makati, but the difference is that you only pay ₱200-400 pesos at Kale. They also change their menu and swap out dishes. Some dishes are in the menu for only a specific event like valentines (why do i know this? Check summary later). Drinks are good also, iced tea and lemonade taste fresh, Horchata and matcha latte are my fave. Food is served in a timely manner. Food recos in summary. Service = 10/10 Staff are amazing and friendly. They make sure to accommodate you with your requests. Atmosphere = 10/10 Interior is minimalist with a sense of comfort. A place you could chill and hangout with your friends. My boyfriend and I date a lot in this resto because of its location and food. Their dine-in has aircon but they also have an al fresco area. Best way i can explain every time i’m here is that i feel at ease like i’m in my friend’s house. Summary: This is your dream cafe + resto. It’s not one of those shabby cafes where they focus on being instagrammable but food tastes meh, this resto is authentic to itself and that’s why it’s worth your visit. I can not believe that this neighborhood resto that serves high quality food for only less than ₱500 exists. Because totoo, lasang BGC/Makati resto toh. I’ve been a customer of Kale since the last decade because malapit lang ako dito (that’s why I know about the menu) pero binabalik balikan ko dahil ang sarap talaga ng food nila at dahil dyan, here are my food recos: All-time fave: horchata & grilled cheese. Horchata is comforting and yummy. Grilled cheese must try talaga. Recently tried and i recommend: korean pork belly (don’t have a pic of this one since take out), salmon donburi, mediterranean medley salad, pesto potatoes, katsu sando, and croissandwich with crabsticks and greens (bago sa menu and triny ko today). Steak is delicious also especially the puree at yung kanin GRABE ang sarap. Will try their hainanese fried chicken because i saw a pic in their instagram @kalemanila.

This is a small, cozy place perfect for a simple date. Both the coffee and the food we ordered were great. I feel like the serving size was a bit bigger than I expected so I was very full after eating here. No complaints, would love to come back and try different things next time.

One of my favorite restaurants in Fairview. Small cafe with a very homey interior. Staff is friendly and accommodating. My favorite dish in Kale is their Salmon Donburi. Recommended dishes - grilled chese, steak with squash puree, hainanese chicken, and katsu sandwich. Pasta options are ok. I also recommend this place for intimate private events

Tried steak, pasta, salmon multiple times since they’re near my place, the food were great. Last night we also tried the chicken, its yummy but very small serving size. Waiting time is longer but its fine at least they’re freshly cooked. Place is a little bit small and hard to dine in of you’re a large group. Fave would always be the steak
