a month agoI enjoyed my stay at New World Makati Hotel. However, I do think it falls short of a 5 star hotel rating. Service was stellar. Everyone was very polite and friendly. There is a gym and outdoor pool. Location is 5 stars alone being right across Greenbelt 3. Room feels spacious and clean. However, what detracts from the 5 star hotel rating are: - the maintenance of the room. It does feel dated. There is a leak under the bathroom sink with what looks like mold growing. The chalking is already peeling and falling out in corners of the shower -the TV isn't a smart TV. The quality is of the picture is granny and fuzzy - There is no ventilation in the bathroom. This could be why mold is growing under the sink and the wall is peeling - The moisturizer and soaps are made in China. -no microwave in the deluxe room - breakfast buffet seems on the higher end (1300 pesos per person) The hotel definitely needs to up these maintenance factors to prevent the tarnish to its alleged 5 start rating. But overall, a very enjoyable stay.

a month agoFrom a macroscopic point of view, the room looked amazing, but on closer inspection, the age shows. Service is impeccable, though. However, there is no smart tv, and the bathroom lacks an exhaust. The bed was perfect. Not too soft, not too hard. Slept like a baby. The location was perfect, too. It's right next to Greenbelt, a luxury mall.

a week agoThe check-in and out process was smooth, and the staff here were so kind and accommodating. But I would not call this a value hotel nor a 5 star hotel. 1 reason I would not stay here again is the poor beds. 1 reason I would stay here again is the higher security. Here are the cons: The bed was so hard. Not firm. Hard. I knew it would not be a restful night. If we had stayed longer, I would have asked to get a decent bed in a different room or change hotels. There was no padding, no support whatsoever. I was miserable. Upon walking into the room, there was a musty mildew smell. It goes away once the air conditioning is turned on, but it's indicative of poor ventilation. They wouldn't take the original card on file that was used during the booking process, so we had to use a different form of payment. Make sure you bring the original card with you. The shower head doesn't stay in place. It moves around side to side and also slides downward. If you don't pull the door tightly shut, the floor will be totally wet. The light switches are not by the door, so you'll have to fumble around in the dark to turn all the lights on. At the lobby bar, make sure you check the drink prices first. We paid 30$ for a glass of Japanese whiskey when we know for a fact that this specific bottle only costs 50$. Here are the pros: They have a nurse on duty who brought some paracetamol directly to my room for a fee. This helped me with my headache and backache pains the next morning. The shower pressure and temperature is great. All of the staff are very nice and professional. They seem genuine when greeting guests. They have high security before cars enter and before people enter. They have enforcement dogs as well. Their elevators only work with an active guest key. There is a crossing guard to get to the mall. This hotel is directly in front luxury stores at Greenbelt mall. It is also very close to great places to eat short walking and short driving distances. We had a great view of the city. Overall: I wouldn't stay here again, risking poor beds and poor sleep conditions.

3 months agoThis hotel is really nice! It makes me miss Manila a lot. The room is a great size and it is gorgeous. Really nice, comfortable beds and spacious overall. The hotel is large, and has beautiful corridors and a nice lobby. Staff is friendly and helpful and do a good job of organizing the high amount of guests that are staying here. The pool is nice and large, and there is plenty places to sit outside and relax. Breakfast buffet is large and has a nice variety. The hotel also has a nice location and is close the Greenbelt mall which is also a nice visit. Fully recommended New World Makati!

2 months agoIt is a really good choice to spend a few nights in Manila. The location is excellent, it is front of Greenbelt. Our 2 week trip started and finished here. So we spent 4 nights overall in this hotel and we got everything what we wanted. The breakfast was amazing, they had a great selection to choose from.
