8 months agoAmazing Japanese restaurant. My wife have shellfish allergy, but their shellfish dishes didn't trigger to her, which mean the ingredients super fresh and safe. Service also nice and friendly. Highly recommend business meeting or hang out with friends.

8 months agoMalate has always been a melting pot of different cuisines around the world but lately the ones left are just mostly Korean and Japanese. Of the many Japanese restaurants, Royal Sakura is definitely a standout. Upon entry, we were directed upstairs because there was literally no more seats at the ground floor. We ordered caterpillar roll, Sakura special roll, sashimi 3 kinds, salmon, Tonkatsu set, chicken teriyaki set, Ebi ten don set, Tori Karaage and kaisen chijimi. I can easily recommend their set meals as they come with soup, salad and dessert. Of the set meals we ordered, the Ebi tendon and chicken teriyaki were the clear winners. The eel in the caterpillar roll had that yummy glaze on top. I also loved the Kaisen Chjimi or seafood Korean pancake. This place is really a standout in taste, value and service. My advice is to drop by before meal times as they only have very limited street parking.

2 years agomy new favorite japanese resto surprised to find this gem right at the heart of Malate. the dishes we ordered and ate were as authentic as japanese cuisine can get. the quality and taste are at par if not better than tanabe's. did i forget to mention that the place was squeaky clean? a definite plus for me .there were two standby food servers at the side making sure that all our needs are immediately attended to. the food servers are trained well and highly professional at their job. I called up for our reservation and when we arrived outside the restaurant, I was completely taken by surprised because the security attendant was obviously advised of our arrival since he was already waiting to guide us on where to park . remedios st. where it is located is under construction but worth the little trouble. please go and try this superb resto!👏👏👏 I can't wait to go back to try their other dishes congratulations and keep it up!👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰
