Single Origin

A nice brunch place for quiet mornings. Great service from cheerful staff. I ordered pork belly which is a bit sweet for me. Coffee was good. Will come back to try other foods from the menu.

Weekday dinner at Single Origin, Greenbelt 5 with a good friend. We had their White Truffle Pasta, S.O. Wings, Truffle Fries (not in photo) and some cocktails (S.O. Sangria, Sir William Soda Floral Spritz). Food was ok, not extraordinary. Serving size is decent, although a bit on the expensive side. We enjoyed the cocktails. Not stingy on the alcohol. Service was ok, they did not hover over us while we were choosing what we wanted, had a ready recommendation when what we wanted was not in stock. They were gracious and polite. Would return to try their Reuben sandwich.

This was our fifth or sixth visit here, and while the food is consistently good and the ambiance is pleasant, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, the experience is overshadowed by the lack of attentiveness from the staff. When I raised my hand to call for a waiter, they seemed to deliberately ignore me. I even caught a waitress glance at me briefly before quickly looking away, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. On this visit, I had to follow up multiple times for a drink order, speaking to three different servers, but still nothing happened. To try and speed things up, I stood in front of the counter, hoping it would help, but it still took over 30 minutes to get a simple drink. There was no urgency or initiative to check on basic things like service water, which should be standard. While the food and ambiance make the place appealing, the service is inconsistent and frustrating. For example, one server said the happy hour package required the same drinks, while another said variety was allowed. This level of inconsistency and lack of proper training is disappointing. If the management can address the customer service issues, this place would truly live up to its potential. For now, the food and ambiance are the main reasons to visit, but patience is definitely needed.

Pros: 1. The cocktails are superb, with the Sangria and Mimosa being personal favorites. 2. The grilled salmon is a standout dish—delicious every time, I never get tired of it. 3. Amazing service! The staff is incredibly accommodating, making every visit enjoyable. We keep coming back because of them. We usually dine in around 6-9pm. 4. Chocolate Lava is also a standout dessert! It takes 20 mins to prepare but nonetheless worth it! 5. It's open until midnight, a lifesaver whenever we finish late at work ! Cons: 1. The Greenbelt branch often runs out of ribs, bacon, and occasionally the SO burger. 2. The alfresco dining area can get uncomfortably hot during the afternoon.

It is our first time here and also chose this place as it is pet friendly, we have a furbaby with us. By the time we arrived, we were served cold water immediately which is really nice as not all restaurants do that automatically. All we ordered we're great, yes it's really pricey, but the portion size was big too, we had to take out some of our orders. Worth the money. I recommend the S.O. French Toast as best to be a dessert. Props to our waitperson Sir Kenneth who is very attentive and really nice to us and recommend other menu items when our other orders are not available at the moment. Very knowledgeable to every items in the menu. All in all experience is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
