Sunnies Cafe

I was excited for the reopening, but I’m not sure if I will come back. The beef gyumeshi was served cold, and the corn ribs were served with plastic on top. The corn tasted good, but the beef dish was lacking the flavor you would expect for 400 PHP. Overall, I think there are better options at this price point nearby.

Food was actually ok for its price. Nothing above and beyond. We love that they revamped the menu and added a lot of options. Their coffee is consistently good so we’re happy about that. However, they have to improve training for their staff. It’s like they have no idea what they are selling (is it because most of the options are new?) When repeating the order they are a bit unsure and have to write the whole name of the dish on their paper. Some of the crew also seemed lost at times. One staff took my friend’s plate even though he’s still not finish with his food. That’s a bit odd and rude for me. He didn’t even bother asking us first if it’s ok to take the plate. Anyway, they were all friendly. They just seemed lost and unsure.

I ordered the honey garlic chicken bowl and my bf ordered the spicy seafood surf bowl. Both were good! I loved the crispiness and flavor of the chicken. On my second visit, I got the iced latte which tasted like your regular unsweetened latte. Would’ve been nice if they had simple syrup on the side. I also tried the breakfast sausage bowl and it was really tasty! The gravy unexpectedly complemented the sausage and egg combo, though I wish they didn’t slice the sausage in half. The servers were nice and attentive. I also liked the chill vibe and aesthetic of the cafe. Outlets are available beside the booths at the far end:)

A bit disappointed with the environment in the cafe. The atmosphere was not good at all, the front part of the cafe has dimmed lights unlike the booth/cubicle style chairs at the rear. When we entered the cafe, we were welcomed with a foul scent, not of coffee's or food but rather artificial and unpleasant. The food was okay, we went for the snacks and some of them are fair for the serving especially the taters and fries. Although I feel that some of the prices for the dishes are a bit overpriced in my opinion.

We dined here on a Sunday night and surprisingly the restaurant was nowhere near full. We managed to be seated on a booth. The ambience of the restaurant is so High Street and the exterior as well as the interior screams elegance. One thing great about this place is they will just give you a QR code, scan it and it will lead you to a website where you can order your food. The bad thing is that the options for payment is not completely good as we ended having to pay in cash. Food - 8/10 (the meat that I had was really fry Ambience - 10/10 Decor - 9/10 Service - 8.5/10
