4 months agoTapapa is one of the cafe chains in Maginhawa St. which is a walking distance to Hachiran Ramen Cafe and Wadough Cakes and Pastry shops, and situated in 154 Maginhawa St. Building covering "Van Gogh is Bipolar" museum-restaurant. You can choose either the rice tapa meals, an appetisers such as Tapa Birria or Tapa Quesadilla, or a non rice meal such as a hashbrown burgersunny-side egg and tapa fillings. The food is delicious. The ambience is okay except the toilet, which has an unpleasant odour.

a year agoI liked the taste of the dishes, if not a bit salty, but easier to dilute a bit than not have enough flavor. The meats were tender and the vegetables not overcooked, with the dishes being served while still hot. Serving sizes were adequate. It's self service but that wasn't a problem. No service water. Would order again.

3 years agoThis little diner in Maginhawa, has only an al fresco setup for the meantime. Having only a small place, they avoid dine-ins because it could only accomodate 2 tables on the inside. I looked into their menu and what caught my attention is the "Roasted bone marrow pares combo". Can you believe that? Well, it's the first for me. I used to eat these separately before. But here, its a combo. And mind you, it's good. Pares is soft, tasty and saucy. And i love the bone marrow. It's not "malansa", as how the others tasted in other diners. So, if you are into Tapas or pares, give this a try! It won't break your wallet.

a week agoService was slow. We waited about 45 minutes for our food on a Tuesday morning. What was weird is that the food served to us was not even hot. Tapa was hard as well as the bacon.

2 years agoDefinitely my comfort food! They have wide variety of food to choose from. Their beef is tender and soft. And their sizzling beef tapa is also good. Flavorful sauce. I also availed their promo - the free extra rice for the person whose name started with letter J. Hehe
