2 weeks agoA lovely hotel with a classic colonial architecture. Huge lobby and rather impressive. Period appropriate furnitures and decorations Security on entry with X-rays and metal detectors. Plenty of staff and plenty of security. Easy to get to with car rides and staff everywhere to keep things moving. The pool looks amazing and looks like it came from a very glamorous era.

3 months agoThe Manila Hotel, a timeless icon, offers a blend of historical charm and modern comfort. Stepping into its grand lobby, one is immediately transported to a bygone era of elegance and opulence. The hotel's rich history, evident in its ornate architecture and vintage furnishings, adds a unique allure to the guest experience. While the rooms and facilities may show signs of age, they are meticulously maintained, preserving the hotel's heritage while ensuring a comfortable stay. The pool, a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, invites relaxation and rejuvenation. The well-equipped gym provides a space for fitness enthusiasts to maintain their routines. The hotel's culinary offerings are equally impressive. The breakfast buffet, a feast for the senses, showcases a diverse array of international cuisines, catering to every palate. From savory delights to sweet indulgences, there is something to satisfy every craving. However, the lounge service, while adequate, could benefit from enhanced attention to detail and efficiency. Despite a few minor shortcomings, The Manila Hotel remains a captivating destination, offering a glimpse into the Philippines' glorious past while providing a contemporary hospitality experience.

2 months agoThe staff at the reception and breakfast restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The team at the lobby hotel restaurant was also nice but not very attentive. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and was very good, although the coffee was quite weak. The rooms are outdated with old carpet flooring, which is starting to lift in some areas. On the other hand, the fitness center is modern, newly equipped, and exceptionally well-furnished for a hotel gym. The opening hours are also excellent! Overall, it’s okay, and the location is convenient.

a month agoThe Christmas buffet was really festive and the staff did all that they could to make us feel welcome , we enjoyed the new years eve as well. I loved the banana chips they give for free for guests and the swimming pool staff near the restaurant was really kind. The gym was also complete and the shower and sauna was clean

2 weeks agoExcellent facilities and amazing customer service. Breakfast buffet had a decent amount of choices. And our hotel room view (facing Intramuros) was breathtaking. Overall, I would rate it a 3.5. My main gripes were the following: 1. The hotel promised a smooth check-in with pre-submitted IDs, but the check-in was slow and inefficient, took more or less 15 minutes. 2. Cleanliness of our room's toilet was subpar, with visible urine stains under the toilet seat. 3. The exterior had an unkempt appearance.
