2 weeks agoOur stay at The Manila Hotel was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, and our room was perfect—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with elegant touches that reflect the rich Filipino culture. The intricate wood carvings, traditional textiles, and local art pieces added a unique charm and authenticity to our stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with a sumptuous spread that catered to all tastes. The staff were always quick to respond to our requests, adding to the overall positive experience. We enjoyed the hotel’s facilities, including the nice pool, sauna, and gym. However, we did encounter a minor issue when no towels were provided at the pool. Despite this small hiccup, everything else was perfect, making our stay truly memorable. The Manila Hotel is a gem in the heart of the city, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Manila.

Marni Fetalvero,
3 weeks agoThe hotel is beautiful but we came at the worst time possible. At arrival, it took us about 30mins just to get through the driveway. Traffic was terrible because CEU held 3 days of graduation ceremonies at the hotel. At the same time Typhoon Carina was making itself felt in the area. I was expecting a luxurious welcome. What we had was a marketplace. Every student with their families were at the lobby. The check in counter had a long queue. Hopefully, the management could find better options for events like these. A separate entrance perhaps? It got better when we got to our room. The room is bigger than most standard rooms I've been. I ordered room service since we really had no place to go. Their club sandwich is huge and yummy. Prepare to pay for hotel prices. The free breakfast buffet offered great selections. Everything was very satisfactory.

2 weeks agoMy partner and I stayed at The Manila Hotel, expecting a luxurious experience, and while the hotel is indeed fancy, with a stunning pool and a well-equipped fitness center, our stay was far from relaxing. Unfortunately, the staff's eagerness to serve felt overbearing and unnatural, making it impossible to enjoy the peace we had hoped for. Throughout our stay, we were constantly interrupted, often with trivial gestures that quickly became disruptive. For example, we’d receive phone calls and knocks at our door—just to let us know someone was outside with water, or to deliver complimentary chocolates at unexpected times. These gestures, while well-intentioned, felt intrusive and prevented us from unwinding as a couple. At the pool, staff approached us continuously, seemingly unwilling to give us the space and privacy we needed. Rather than enhancing our experience, their constant attention made us feel uncomfortable, almost as if we couldn't just relax and enjoy our surroundings. In the end, we left feeling more stressed than when we arrived, which was disappointing. The Manila Hotel may be beautiful, but the overly persistent service made it difficult to appreciate. If you’re seeking a peaceful getaway, you might want to look elsewhere.
