3 weeks agoThe Manila Hotel, a timeless icon, offers a blend of historical charm and modern comfort. Stepping into its grand lobby, one is immediately transported to a bygone era of elegance and opulence. The hotel's rich history, evident in its ornate architecture and vintage furnishings, adds a unique allure to the guest experience. While the rooms and facilities may show signs of age, they are meticulously maintained, preserving the hotel's heritage while ensuring a comfortable stay. The pool, a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, invites relaxation and rejuvenation. The well-equipped gym provides a space for fitness enthusiasts to maintain their routines. The hotel's culinary offerings are equally impressive. The breakfast buffet, a feast for the senses, showcases a diverse array of international cuisines, catering to every palate. From savory delights to sweet indulgences, there is something to satisfy every craving. However, the lounge service, while adequate, could benefit from enhanced attention to detail and efficiency. Despite a few minor shortcomings, The Manila Hotel remains a captivating destination, offering a glimpse into the Philippines' glorious past while providing a contemporary hospitality experience.

in the last weekRooms are nice, setting is nice. Check in and check out is ridiculous. They had 1 person processing check ins when we arrived so it took 20 minutes to get to the desk. Once at the desk we had to fill out so much paperwork it was crazy. Checking out was an even worse experience somehow. Literally just needed to hand them a key and leave. We were directed from the usual front desk to the large room in the picture where we had to queue to fill out more paperwork to check out. They called our room at around 10 to ask about the stay, they could have mentioned check out is a lengthy process to check out. Once at the check out place, no one really told us what was going on and we had to ask several people for what we were supposed to do as we couldn't believe that we had to queue for so long to check out, when we said we had a flight to catch we still had to queue a stupidly long time considering what was required. All to just to leave the blummin place. Really put a big stinker on what was otherwise a nice stay.

2 months agoOur stay at The Manila Hotel was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, and our room was perfect—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with elegant touches that reflect the rich Filipino culture. The intricate wood carvings, traditional textiles, and local art pieces added a unique charm and authenticity to our stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with a sumptuous spread that catered to all tastes. The staff were always quick to respond to our requests, adding to the overall positive experience. We enjoyed the hotel’s facilities, including the nice pool, sauna, and gym. However, we did encounter a minor issue when no towels were provided at the pool. Despite this small hiccup, everything else was perfect, making our stay truly memorable. The Manila Hotel is a gem in the heart of the city, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Manila.

a week agoPros - Security is good, they check your belongings upon entering the hotel. - We called in advance and informed the concierge that it’s our anniversary. When we entered our room, they put a whole cake and some decorations on our bed and it really amazed us. - We got complimentary chocolates, fruits, etc. Cons - Staffs 3/5 because there were a few who lacked professionalism (didn’t smile when serving/talking to guests - some of them even frowned, there were 2 female staffs who were resting in the outer part of the hotel’s mini museum and her phone was so loud, we noticed it is probably their break time but she was still rude because she saw us and we even asked her how to access the museum and she kept on listening to loud videos on her phone). Although I gotta give credits to the wonderful gentlemen and ladies who assisted us during our stay. - Breakfast buffet is a let-down. We had better breakfast buffet options at other hotels, plus food served is not hot. I think you should copy Zuri Hotel in Coron, their breakfast buffet spread was great. Despite the cons, we’d still love to come back here next time. We hope these issues will be properly addressed for a better customer experience.
