2 weeks agoGreat hotel, AWESOME stuff, always with a smile on their face, super helpful and very kind. Loved the breakfast. Rooms could be a bit better. They are not bad in any way, but just not awesome.

2 months agoReturned to Manila for a visit after 3 years. I wanted to try this hotel. Booked into a premier club access suite. Pick up at the airport was fine and no issues. Checking in took longer than it should have. Some very unhappy guy was yelling at the front staff about rooms. Unfortunately several of us checking in were watching the show. The suite is large 2 rooms but it’s dated. It definitely needs a complete renovation. Everything worked in the room but again it’s old. Housekeeping was amazing! Club lounge on level 3 was fine. Service was extremely attentive which is great. Breakfast definitely needs more options. It’s nothing to get excited about. You have the option to eat downstairs and I did not try it. Dinner was good but basic. They love doing pasta. Wines were average. The gym and pool are outstanding. Men’s locker has wet steam and dry sauna. Again very attentive staff helping. The famous lobby and afternoon tea is crazy. The hotel was jammed packed all 4 days I was here. It’s a bit annoying so many people come to the Peninsula but are not staying here. Such is life I suppose! Staff overall are very pleasant. It’s definitely an old iconic hotel.

3 months agoMy flight was delayed, and I was exhausted, but the customer service here was good from start to finish. I booked a pickup, and when I arrived, the reception staff were already waiting at the entrance. They took me straight to my room and even checked me in there. How cool is that? I could rest right away and get ready for bed. The buffet breakfast was decent. They had fresh young coconuts, not the fragrant Thai ones, but refreshing and not too sweet. The rooms are pretty standard, with bathrooms that have a 70s-style design. The amenities were new, you even have to puncture the openings to use them. The only downside was the drinking water bottles. The caps were too narrow / thin, making them hard to grip and open. Other than that, the Christmas decorations were already up and looked very grand, adding to the festive vibe. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

2 months agoExcellent 3-night stay at the gorgeous Peninsula. Incredible lobby, especially decorated for Christmas. Good gym, nice pool area, friendly staff. The room was nice and spacious. Plenty of options for breakfast but would like to see more vegan options. Do note that you have to go through security and metal detectors every time you enter the hotel. Pleasantly surprised to find main roads near the hotel are blocked off for runners on Sundays from 6-10am. However, this did cause issues with calling for a ride share around 9:am. There is also a great park across the street with friendly cats.
