Z Hostel Philippines

Z Hostel was an awesome place to stay in Manila. The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, and the AC worked great—perfect for the Manila heat. The rooftop bar was definitely a highlight, with stunning city views, live music, and a great social vibe. A big plus was the walking tour with Andrei. He made it super engaging, mixing history with fun local insights. It was a great way to see the city beyond the usual tourist spots. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location in Makati was ideal—plenty of food, nightlife, and easy to get around. If you’re looking for a social but comfortable place, Z Hostel is a solid choice!

No privacy curtain but I used my blanket on lower bunk. Nice bar up top. Internet worked great. Wonderful staff. Nice area. Beware beg packers who pretend to be in trouble asking for money to borrow.

Z hostel is surrounded by all the amazing bars and nightlife places However the bathroom in the room was very dirty and there’s tiny cockroaches around the sink. I stayed here for two nights and another night before my flight back. They did have a common shower room at the second floor so it was not a problem for me and still I enjoyed my time here!

Good rooms, quality ratio wise. Bathrooms, rooms, linen, beds are super clean and comfortable. Staff is kind and helpful. Common spaces are good, well setup and you have many of them. Only slight downside is the "free breakfast" (quotes cause it's baked into the room price). We weren't told we could have eggs how we liked them (cooked on demand) so we just grabbed the hard boiled eggs on the table and they were way over cooked and grey. Also the rice and hotsilog were cold, room temp.

I recently stayed at Z hostel and had an incredible experience, largely thanks to Andrei, one of the volunteers. From the moment I arrived, Andrei went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable also Gwen. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to help with recommendations for local attractions and dining options. The hostel itself is fantastic—clean, welcoming, and filled with a vibrant atmosphere. The communal areas are perfect for meeting other travelers, and the facilities are top-notch. I particularly loved the organized events, which made it easy to connect with fellow guests. Andrei truly made my stay unforgettable with his warm hospitality and dedication to creating a positive environment. If you're looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend Z HOSTEL , You won’t be disappointed!
