a month agoTo be fair, we only had specialty coffee & desserts here so my review is limited to that. Creamy egg coffee - so creamy! I don’t consider this as a drink. Imagine the texture of a whipped cream and you’re drinking it. Coconut coffee - it was the slush-type. Not sure why? But the staff who took our order said it is coconut milk, espresso, and fresh milk. So not really sure what happened here. Skip this as well. We probably should’ve ordered the normal coffee instead Chocolate tart has some peanuts on the crust. This is okay. While the fried dough stick is very chewy, no sugar, just plain. Can skip also. Ambience is okay. It is quiet. There are outlets available everywhere so good place to study/work.

a month agoGreat service, special mention to Jane. Banh mi bread was superb, though the beef filling was too sweet for my taste. Pho was excellent, but I would have liked some fish/beef balls mixed in. Loved the Vietnamese coffee. Very authentic. The spring roll was underwhelming. Lacked taste, even with the sauce.

a month agoCome here for the cakes ! People keep talking about how good this cafe is. To be fair, this cafe offers you with various Vietnamese menu that are delicious 👌🏻 The Banh mi could be improved and there’s a lot of better options around because here at Pai, the Banh Mi is less fullfilling. Please try their cake variation with their fresh brewed coffee 🤩

a month agoGood food, nice decorations, drinks were okay, overall a really nice experience. Their register broke so it was cash only on that day which was a little hassle. Their Pho was good, but wish it had hoisin sauce (for the condiments). Drinks were also really good, except maybe the Matcha smoothie (this tasted powdered). Their blueberry cake was not to sweet either. Would return here again.

a month agoPao Café in Makati is a cozy spot, ideal for studying or working, with excellent service during our first visit on a Saturday. The staff, especially Ma’am Sharmaine, was incredibly accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The quiet atmosphere created a conducive space for learning, perfect for students and professionals seeking a peaceful environment. However, during our second visit, just one day later on Monday, the experience was noticeably different. The service felt less attentive, the café was hotter and noisier, and the food quality was inconsistent. The cakes seemed stale and overpriced, similar to other menu items like pho, fresh spring rolls, and banh mi. While the coffee tasted great on Saturday, the large size was quite small—around 100-120 ml with ice—and expensive for the price. By Monday, the portion was even smaller, and the coffee tasted sour and acidic. Additionally, instead of service water, the café only offers service tea. The Wi-Fi was also very slow, to the point that we didn't even use it. Overall, the prices are quite high for the serving sizes, and there were noticeable inconsistencies in both service and quality between the two visits.
