Pao Cafe

Ordered the following: Bun Cha - a bit too oily for my taste. But not bad. Chicken Pho - average. Maybe should have gotten the beef instead. Coffee - good and strong. Would recommend. Muffin - average. When we visited the AC was being cleaned so it was a bit warm. Staff was accommodating. Parking available.

Discovered this by wandering the streets of Makati searching for a good coffee shop where I can stay for few hours while waiting for someone. The ambiance was really welcoming and industrial looking. It was beautifully designed. Next the coffee was good and the service was fast even though there’s a lot of people coming into this cafe. The pastry that I tried was so-so, not so special but somehow okay to be paired with the coffee I ordered. Overall, the experience was something to keep and will definitely visit again.

I absolutely love this cozy spot! The smoothies are the best around, and it’s a great place for students. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Criza is fantastic at recommending delicious food and drinks, while Mr. Carmilito keeps you updated on the latest promotions. Plus, the waiter staff is attentive and makes sure all your needs are met. Highly recommended!

The heat of the tender beef banh mi totally caught me off guard. My throat was burning and couldn't really taste anything. The bread was crunchy that I can tell. My partner ordered chicken banh mi and said it was good. It would be great if they could state whether something is spicy or not on the menu. The Pao coffee is a little too sweet for my taste and the two Pao coffee taste slightly different . The staff didn't ask if we want the coffee hot or cold. Maybe they don't sell it hot?

First time in Pao yesterday and the experience is 👍🏻👍🏻. Ambiance and seats are work friendly. I ordered the authentic traditional Bahn Mi, and it was close to what I usually eat in Vietnam. The baguette was crispy, meat was tender and serving size is big. I also tried the Bac Xiu coffee, it was good and not too sweet. And for dessert is the Yema cake, it was just okay but a bit dry. What I totally liked about Pao Cafe is the service of the staff most specially LJ. My friend is coming over and I just tried my luck to ask if they have special cake for birthday celebrants that I can buy, they don’t have any but when I asked if they have candle or simple bday greeting design to cakes, that’s when LJ went beyond to produce my friend’s bday cake. It was totally unexpected that they’ll say yes to this and make that effort. It was supposed to be my friend’s surprise but then I was surprised too when the cake with candle and HBD message was served with staff singing bday song. It was really a lovely, surprising experience in Pao. surely we’ll be back and recommend this cafe. Kudos and thanks so much again LJ and all staff.
