Visiting the National Museum of Fine Arts was an unforgettable experience that left me in awe of the rich artistic heritage it preserves. The grand architecture alone sets the stage for an inspiring journey, but it is the breathtaking collection of masterpieces that truly captivates the soul. Each gallery showcases the brilliance of Filipino artists, from timeless classical paintings to thought-provoking contemporary works. One of the highlights of my visit was seeing Spoliarium by Juan Luna—one of the largest and most powerful paintings I’ve ever encountered. The sheer size, dramatic composition, and deep historical significance of the piece left me speechless. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates art, culture, and the profound stories that paintings and sculptures can tell.

Free museum with an extensive collection. You just need an ID to get inside. However, it has an incredibly long line, so it's a good idea to arrive early and perhaps bring an umbrella just in case the line was extra long (the line reaches way outside the museum lobby). Prepare to stand in line for a long time, and then prepare to walk for even longer because the museum is huge. It spans 4 whole floors (the first floor was temporarily closed when I was visiting), and every single floor has numerous galleries and hallways with either paintings, relief carvings, statues, and even some mixed media pieces. The staff were friendly, helpful, and it could be a great visit, just make sure you dedicate an entire day to make the most out of it.

There are also two nearby museums which are the National Museum of Anthropology and National Museum of Natural History. - No entrance fee, you just need to show your ID to enter. - Water / Water Bottles are not allowed inside. So, drink up before you enter. - There might be a long queue in the entrance during Friday visit.

I loved my visit to the National Museum of Fine Arts! First of all, it’s free—you just need to bring an ID, which is awesome. But heads up, if you’re coming on a weekend, be ready for a crazy long line that stretches outside the building. I made the mistake of going on a Sunday and had to come back early on a weekday to avoid the wait. Definitely recommend going on a weekday if you can! The museum itself is huge! There are multiple floors filled with stunning paintings, sculptures, and other artworks. Of course, the Spoliarium was one of the highlights for me—it’s so massive and powerful in person. I really took my time exploring, and I still feel like I didn’t see everything. If you’re planning to visit, wear comfy shoes because you’ll be walking a lot! Only downside? Some kids were running around, sliding on the floors, and touching the walls, and their parents just let them do whatever. I didn’t see any staff nearby to stop them, which was kinda frustrating. The exhibits are national treasures, so they should be better protected. Overall, I had an amazing time and would totally go back! Whether you're into art or just want a cool, chill place to explore, this is a must-visit. Plus, it’s a great spot for a unique date or just a solo adventure. Highly recommend!

Actually visiting the other two museums after the Natural History one (like us) is the wrong order because you’ll surely be disappointed The top floor is an office space so beware of straying into areas not allowed. I personally don’t prefer the way they set up the pieces here since they painted all rooms except the first one with extremely bright and strong colors that distract you from observing the artworks. And the number of floors and art spaces are quite limited as well. Anyway, how do you get several mesmerizing museums in one place and all of them offer FREE ENTRANCE?? Like they should be treated like national treasures but here you get to see and experience everything for complete free, so please, treasure them 100x times more. I never want to leave this place and just wish my country has one similar
