I recently stayed at New Coast Hotel (Lavie) .which is listed as a five-star hotel on Agoda.com, for a five-day vacation.
1. Disappointment with Facilities: "One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for its pool. Unfortunately, it was under maintenance during my entire stay, which was quite disappointing."
2. Service Quality: "The service at the hotel was decent, but there's definitely room for improvement. Some staff members seemed overwhelmed, which affected the overall experience."
3. Star Rating Discrepancy: "Despite being advertised as a five-star hotel, it felt more like a three-star and at times, even a two-star—experience. The amenities and service did not match the expectations set by its advertised rating."
4. Positive Service Experience: "I would like to commend Cyrill from the concierge department for doing an excellent job in handling the service. His professionalism and helpfulness stood out during my stay."
5. Value for Money: "Unfortunately, I did not feel that the stay was worth the money given the discrepancies in quality and service.
Conclusion: "Although there were some setbacks during my stay, I found certain aspects enjoyable. I suggest potential guests check facility availability ahead of time and manage expectations regarding the star rating.
Rating: "Overall, I would rate my experience 3 out of 5 stars."
This hotel is currently under renovation. The pool is closed. Rooms are ok. Breakfast is good but charge of 1100 pesos is a bit much. Casino is good if you like to gamble.

Good value for money.
Will recommend and return soon.
Wonderful upscale hotel near the bay. Casino within the hotel as well as several restaurants including the Cafe on the 5th floor that serves one of the best breakfast buffets I have seen anywhere in world! And I have been to 75 countries!
