a year agoDon't bother visiting this temple if you want to see it from inside the property. Contrary to earlier reviews posted here, the guard on duty was NOT friendly and disallowed photography on the temple grounds (even from just the outside). I tried asking the contact number of management so I could ask permission before revisiting at a later time, however, the guard refused, claiming the property owners are difficult to deal with (ie. "mahirap kausap"). This grand Taoist temple could have been one of the best heritage and cultural sites of Caloocan City! Such a waste. One can take photos from adjacent streets though (see attached photos).

a year agoJust saw on my Facebook feed for curiosity I visited the temple. Guard is so nice but taking pictures inside the temple is not allowed. It's like East Asian vibes for me.

7 years agoWe only visited for a couple of minutes to take pictures for our History of Architecture class and the guard was nice. I really liked the architectural character of the Pagoda and the Temple even though we weren't allowed to go inside. Such a waste that these beautiful, magnificent buildings are not being maintained properly. You can see clearly the paint chipping off.

2 years agoA huge unfinished temple. But there's a tad small one beside it, within the compound where you can offer prayers and gifts at the altar. Besides that nothing mush to see here. The area is surrounded mostly by commercial warehouse. You can either walk this or hire a trike from the main road. #RP
